Daddy & Grant

I'm lucky. There, I said it. And even if I don't always admit, I do know it. From the day that we came home from the hospital, Husband has been very helpful with the baby stuff. Don't get me wrong, he was helpful and sweet when I was pregnant and during labor and delivery...but he was also a nervous wreck and thought I hadn't noticed. I did. But, I always talk a lot about my personal accomplishments with Grant or just Grant himself so I thought I'd talk a little bit about Grant and his Daddy.

I usually do Grant's last feeding for the night (usually between 9 - 10 p.m.) and Husband heads to bed. That's because if Grant wakes up in the middle of the night Husband will usually get up and let me sleep (unless Grant is inconsolable, then it's my turn to try). He also gets up with Grant for his first morning feeding (usually between 4 - 5 a.m.) and turns off the monitor, again so I can sleep.

Grant's daycare is two buildings away from where Nate works so he takes and picks up Grant every day from daycare. Except for the rare occasion that he can't (out of town trips or late nights at the office). He even gets him ready in the morning so I can get ready for work myself.

I had quite a nasty cold right after I went back to work so Nate helped do everything with and for Grant so I that could a) get some rest and b) keep from spreading my germs to the little guy. Or, sometimes ice cream appears in the freezer when I've had a particularly bad week. He does a lot of things like that for me and I don't always let him know that I appreciate it.

So here are a few pictures I have of Husband and Grant. Not many because Husband hates his picture taken and most of them are the two of them napping but that's to be expected because he's busy not sleeping so that I can.

I was really glad I didn't wake them up when I took this one. It was a little morning nap this past Sunday before I packed up Grant so Husband could have some "me time"
