I realize that you probably don't look forward to telling a parent of possible (and likely) side effects of the medication you prescribe to their children. But perhaps you should refrain from telling the parent(s) of your patients "But maybe it won't!" after the statement "This medication will probably give him diarrhea." It gives us false hope. Just a suggestion.
